Is there any Free Flute Music on the Internet?

Many school music programs will automatically issue sheet music for students that are in the first year of their music program.  For the flutists, there is flute sheet music that is specifically orchestrated to meet the lower leveled skills that a beginner will use throughout the year to refine their prowess in playing a flute.

During the first year, they will learn to read the musical notes on the flute sheet music, and learn some basic care and storage techniques.  Cleaning a flute thoroughly after each use will remove moisture and prolong the life of the instrument.  Students find that they are able to concentrate on the notes in the flute sheet music if the flute is well-cared for.

Students will have to become accustomed to taking care of the flute sheet music as well, because any bending or tearing that occurs throughout the school year could interfere with the readability of the music that is on the sheet.  Some schools will require parents to reimburse the school for any damage that occurs to the sheet music that the schools purchased for use in their music programs.

The flute sheet music might be inexpensive at first, but through the years, the academic costs for sheet music could add up to a considerable amount of money.  Schools must purchase sheet music for every instrument that is part of the school music program, so any damages that are inflicted on these items is considered to be a serious matter. 

Some schools do try and cut costs where they can, and will generally try and locate free flute sheet music on various internet websites.  These music sheets can be conveniently downloaded and stored until they are needed by an instructor at some time during the school year, and are especially nice to have around if a student can no longer use a music sheet due to accidents or if the sheet is lost by the student.

The flute sheet music created for the beginner skill levels is not the only level of music held by a music director.  Many school music programs will have a beginner band, concert band I level and a symphonic band and there is flute sheet music for all three skill levels.  Some students at the beginner level will listen to the music played by flutists who have earned a seat in the symphonic band.

The beautiful music that is rendered by students using flute sheet music for the symphonic level is totally breathtaking and many of these beginners will sit mesmerized for hours if you would let them, and be totally starry eyed when they hear the level of quality in the musical scores that are played during their music classes.  The beginners do not have a clear concept of how many hours of practice were needed before music such as this could be learned.

Sometimes the beginners are simply amazed by the fact that the music director would even think of assigning advanced students more complicated flute sheet music to read, much less play.  They are under the assumption that all musical pieces are alike for everyone in the music program.  The learning process has only begun for these youngsters and they have many years to go before they will fully understand all of the factors involved in being able to produce such music from a flute that is derived from the flute sheet music forms that are sitting on a stand in front of the flutists.
